This Week in Asheville: Nov. 25-Dec. 1
Asheville’s wealth of live music, theater, and comedy offerings can leave concertgoers feeling overwhelmed when it comes to picking which shows to attend. But have no fear! The Asheville Stages staff is here to help with insights on the week’s most appealing options.
The Snozzberries Psychedelic Circus
Looking to bring a little more magic than a standard concert, the local psych rock quartet will host its 4th annual Psychedelic Circus a day after Thanksgiving. For previous events, they’ve brought in installation artists, dancers, muralists, and more. Expect them to go even bigger this time around. —Jonny Leather

Since 2005, the local singer/songwriter has made it a point to be home for Thanksgiving and enjoy musical fellowship with longtime friends as well as friends-to-be that he just hasn’t met yet. The event has already served as a post-COVID balm in 2021 and looks to pack an additional emotional wallop this holiday as the community continues to recover post-Helene. —Edwin Arnaudin

Although the finger-picking troubadour no longer maintains residence in Asheville, it’s always a delight when he returns to remind us why he’s one of the most engaging solo performers around. His latest release, Forgotten but Not Gone & Few and Far Between, is a sprawling double album that’s as emotionally visceral as it is ambitious.—JL
